MTA RACE XP/Vista/Seven Tutorial

Want to edit map and play them at our server?
Good then here's what you have to do:

If you are used to the new MTA map editor version then just do the map and send it to us by posting a topic on the forum to send us the map.

If you aren't used to the new version or didn't edit a map ever then download the old mta version:

Instal on a folder that isnt the same from the new mta version.
Eg: MTA SA RACE(Old version) and MTA SA DM (New Version)

Now if you have Windows Vista or Windows Seven you will have to do this for it to work:

1st- Go to:
X:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas Race\mods
Change the name of the folder "editor" to: "map_editor"

2nd- Go to:
X:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas Race\mods\map_editor
And create a folder named "maps"
You will have the following:
X:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas Race\mods\map_editor\maps
*Note - The maps that you edit are saved on this folder

3rd - Go to:
X:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas Race\mods\race
and change the name of the file "client.dll" to other name.
Eg: "mta.dll"

4th- Go and edit your maps


If you have Windows XP then do this:

1st- Go to:
X:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas Race\mods
Change the name of the folder "editor" to: "map_editor"

2nd- Go to:
X:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas Race\mods\map_editor
And create a folder named "maps"
You will have the following:
X:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas Race\mods\map_editor\maps
*Note - The maps that you edit are saved on this folder

Note: This tutorial makes MTA RACE 1.1.2 Work on XP,Vista and Seven.
After doing the turorial if you have xp you will be able to play online and edit maps, but if you have vista or seven you will only be able to edit maps.
If you somehow have the 1.1.1 version only one step is needed for it to work. On Vista and Seven do the step 3 and that's it.


Your maps when sent to us will be verified and fixed (if there is any bugs)
On the post you must specify a name for the map, the kind of race mod map (Race,Skill,DM,TeamWork,CTR(Chose the road)), and the author. If no author is specified the author of the post will be the author of the map. If no name is specified the author of the map/post will be the name.
